Tips for accuracy
- Hold the phone flat and still. The compass settles; it should not spin on its own.
- Keep the phone away from metal, magnets, or speakers.
- If the needle drifts, calibrate by moving your phone in a figure-8.
- On iPhone, tap SHOW QIBLA and allow Motion access.
- No compass? Face true North and turn clockwise by the shown degrees.
